Testimonials
“Learning to drive with you was amazing, you always got straight to the point when explaining something and made sure I understood. You supported me when I mentioned wanting to get out on the roads as soon as possible and didn’t hold me back and pushed me to my full potential!” Aeryn (First time pass)
“Dawn has been a great instructor, she is really patient and always able to arrange lessons that suit you.” Thomas (First time pass)
“I’ve has a great experience learning to drive with Dawn. She is great fun and made me feel at ease from the first lesson. Learn to drive with Dawn! Amazing instructor!” Oscar (First time pass)
“Driving with Dawn was perfect for me as someone who had never driven prior to the lessons. Every lesson was perfectly planned out with a mix of new topics and also areas in which I need to improve. This allowed for every lesson to be very valuable and for me to become a good driver.” Adam (First time pass)
“Thank you for teaching me how to drive, you have been an excellent driving instructor. I would highly recommend you to anyone who I meet, you was so patient and kind. We had great talks and great laughs even when I messed up you told me it was okay. Thank you for teaching me.” Tom
“I had both Dawn and Dev as my instructors, as I had an upcoming test this month that meant I needed multiple lessons a week. They were kind enough to organise a driving plan for me at very short notice which allowed me to really get comfortable with driving after doing lessons so sporadically over the years. I wasn’t particularly confident in my ability and found lessons quite stressful, but I felt at total ease with both Dawn and Dev. I wasn’t just learning how to drive but was also questioned on my decision making which really helped me understand why I was doing certain things when driving. Dev, who was my main instructor, was incredibly patient, friendly and an extremely good teacher. I passed my test first time with only one minor, as Dev was so thorough when it came to our lessons. He also never let me think I was failing or wasn’t good enough, which I had felt prior to our lessons, and was always positive when I doubted myself. Thank you to both Dev and Dawn, your kindness and ability as teachers has given me more freedom and confidence as a driver, I couldn’t recommend them enough!” Esme – (First Time Pass)
“100% recommend. Got me a test booked extremely quick for only 3 months after i started lessons and taught me everything in good time at the exact pace i was learning at. Has great knowledge of everything a learner needs to think about and spending early lessons getting introduced to each manoeuvre and then revisiting them closer to the test helped me know i was definitely ready for the test. Good sense of humour as well so every lesson was enjoyable.” – Tom – (First Time Pass)

FAQs
You can apply on the Government website online.
Each individual pupil learns at a different rate. According to statistics from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, a learner driver who passes their driving test has, on average, about 45 hours of professional training combined with 22 hours of private practice. However, this is the national average figure and many pass with far fewer lessons, and some will require more.
We will provide you with detailed lesson structure and advise you on your progress using a Driver’s Progress Record. This can include what to practise between lessons when you have a car and supervising driver available. For more information on how to know whether you are ready to pass visit readytopass.campaign.gov.uk/driving-skills/track-progress-learning
Any practice is good practice. If you have a suitable vehicle and accompanying driver to carry out private practice between lessons, we will give you professional advice on what you should work on. Each individual pupil progresses differently, and each vehicle has different characteristics, so we will develop your instruction accordingly. You just need to be careful that you don’t slip into bad habits, as your friend or family member will probably not be as observant as an instructor, and may have ingrained bad driving habits themselves.
We strongly recommend lessons are two hours long.
Years of experience of driver training has told us that two-hour lessons are far more productive than just one hour, as more varied road types and topics can be covered, and repetition can take place to help consolidate learning.
Lesson content will also flow more consistently and seamlessly. As a result, a fewer number of lessons are normally needed overall to pass the driving test, which saves the pupil money.
However, if you find 2 hours are physically or mentally too demanding then discuss this with us, as we may be willing to make an exception and offer you shorter lessons.
You can find information on booking both theory and practical tests on the Government website.
